I'm Lovin It!

Everyone has a favourite colour. Pink, yellow, red, brown, orange... For some cultures, colour has different meanings. But do you know that colors also have a psychological effect which some companies use to increase sales?

Take a close look at the logos or interior decoration of fast food companies. A majority of them has red or shades of red. Why? Red has been known to increase appetite. So when u go to McDonalds, even though u may not be that hungry, u eventually has this feeling of wanting to eat. Very clever indeed. Red is often used in restaurant decorating schemes because it is an appetite stimulant. At the same time, red attracts attention. And u will not find a restaurant decorated in blue because blue when it comes to food is the least appetizing.

And why do the seats at fast-food restaurants uncomfortable? I mean, you won't get those plush cushions! They're comfortable but not really THAT comfortable! That's because they dun want customers staying too long in the dining area, which ultimately is a bad thing for the entire system, and one way to get people in and out is to be "modestly" uncomfortable in the comfort of the seating and other accommodations.
