Blog Of The Dead

I luuuuuurrrrrrrrrrve zombies. Compared to vampires, werewolves, ghouls or any types of ghosts, zombies are my favourite evil beings. I dunno why.

Zombies are re-animated dead humans. They're basically corpse walking around. They have simple motor skills such as walking and have the desire to feed on human flesh.

They're a bit like cannibals u see. I find this very interesting. It's horror, suspense, excitement and comedy all rolled into one.

Folklore has it that zombies originated from voodoo magic. A dead person is revived and under the control of the sorcerer and have no will of their own.

In the movies however, humans are turned into zombies for many reasons. Bacteria lah, virus lah, aliens lah.. some never give reason at all!

Zombies in the older movies walked very slowly, sumtimes dragging themselves to the helpless victims. Kinda funny since no matter how fast the human runs, the slooooow zombies sure catch up one! Haha! Stooopid humans.

Nowadays, these zombies are potrayed with more power, violent, agility and the ability to run! Wooohooo!!! More fun and gore!!

There have been many great movies on zombies. Some of my favorites are Dawn of The Dead (the original), Resident Evil and 28 Days Later. Some are not so great, but heck. Who cares! So long starring zombies enuff.

And dis year the cinemas are not short of movies with the zombie genre. 28 Weeks Later, Resident Evil 3 : Extinction and Day Of the Dead to name a few.

Human flesh anyone?
